Based on dissertations by final-year students, a new collection of little books was created Architecture, Art and Utopia - U. PORTO Alumni Little Books that has the support of the U.Porto Press, which is associated with Scopio Editions and aims to publish book zines / little books coming from the work of students of the Faculties of the U. Porto, selected for the quality of the dissertation and proximity of the themes addressed in relation to the areas of Architecture, Art and Utopia.
The collection is a joint initiative of the research group Architecture, Art and Image (AAI) integrated in the Center for Architectural and Urban Studies (CEAU) of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and the Centre for English, Translation, and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS) of the Faculty Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP). Constituted by Little Books publications with a format specifically designed for this purpose and based on the selection of the final Master's works chosen annually, these dissertation works are edited according to the new layout of the collection, which is structured through the themes of interest of each of the works related to Architecture, Art and Utopia.
The works will be placed in the libraries of the Faculties in a specific location for this collection. These publications are, once finished, the motto to promote multiple acts of reflection, which may be coming from various initiatives of talks and debates around the themes developed and linked to integrative pedagogical strategies and stimulating / promoting the initiation of research of students who finish the 2nd study cycle.

CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies)
CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies) is the result of a fusion between two previously existing research units: IEI, the Institute for English Studies, based at FLUP, and CEAP, the Centre for Anglo-Portuguese Studies, based at FCSHUNL. A research center that brings together people from 11 Portuguese universities, promoting research and activities of significant national and international scope.

Created in 1994, the Center for Architectural and Urbanism Studies (CEAU) is the statutory R&D Center of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), its host institution, and also integrates a Research & Development Unit (EAT-Norte-145) funded and evaluated by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
