DPic: Arquitetura, Arte e Imagem
DPic: Architecture, Art and Image is a CRRE research group project which general objectives are, on one hand, to promote an understanding of the image and its use as a method and means of representation that allow new ways of understanding and interact with various spaces in the fields of Architecture, City and Territory. On the other hand, to highlight the advantages of image exploration as a means capable of crossing borders and shifting boundaries between different problematic and disciplinary areas of Architecture and Art, encouraging the formation of multidisciplinary teams. It is intended to encourage a critical and poetic view on the spaces and experiences that characterize them and give identity, revealing facets that were previously invisible or forgotten and also offer a prospective and utopian vision about these spaces.
The project began in 2016 with the first DPic contest: Architecture, Art and Image - Utopia 500, an international Drawing and Photography competition aimed at 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycle students or young researchers belonging to any institution of higher education and / or research in Europe and in the World.
At this moment, we are in the second edition of the International Drawing and Photography Competition (DPIc) and the theme is - Space and Identity in U. Porto Colleges: Visual Spaces of Change (VSC), and it is addressed to everyone that belongs to U. Porto.
