The photographic project focuses on the visual analysis of the Bairro de São Vitor in Porto, a residential complex designed by the celebrated Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. This specific work, developed by the photographers Sofia Brusini, Riccardo Ricci and Marcel Vollenweider under the curatorship of Pedro Leão Neto, has sought to bring new perspectives on the architectural complex by espousing an artistic awareness of the photographic image through a particular grammar and syntax. This visual language of photography is used not only as a type of register and form of expression of architectural culture but also as an artistic strategy for the visual narratives to bring forth a new discourse on this work, which has meant, among other things, understanding architecture as an object of disciplinary study and artistic study at the same time.
